FAQs
Is this for complete beginners?
This is exactly who we built this for. Most coaching assumes you already have the basics — a reliable routine, some gym experience, a general sense of what works for your body. We start before all of that. Our work begins with behavior: understanding why consistency has been hard, what your days actually look like, and what a sustainable starting point is for you specifically. No prior experience required. Just a willingness to start.
Should i get in better shape before i start?
No. That thinking is what keeps most people stuck. Coaching isn't a reward for already being fit. It's what helps you get there without burning out or starting over every few months. The earlier we can build the right foundation, the better. Waiting until you feel "ready enough" usually means waiting indefinitely.
what makes this different from an app or program i bought online?
Apps and templates are built for an average person. They don't know your schedule, your history, or what's actually gotten in the way before. We do — because we ask. Before a single workout is written, we spend time understanding your specific relationship with movement and food. That context changes everything. A plan that fits your real life is the only plan that works long-term.
What does “behavior change” actually mean?
It means we look at the patterns underneath the problem before we try to fix the problem. Most people already know they should move more and eat better. The gap isn't information — it's the habits, routines, and beliefs that make those things feel impossible to sustain. We start there. Not with a program you white-knuckle your way through, but with small, deliberate shifts that build on each other over time. That's the foundation everything else is built on.
Do I need a gym or special equipment?
No. We design around what you actually have access to. A mat and some floor space is a legitimate starting point — especially for beginners who are focused on building the habit of movement before anything else. As your goals evolve, we'll be honest with you about what tools would help you get further. But we never require more than what makes sense for where you are right now.
What if I fall off track?
You pick back up. That's it. There's no guilt here, no "starting over," and no judgment about what happened. Consistency over a long timeline looks nothing like perfection — it looks like someone who keeps returning to the work. That's what we're building toward.
How do i know when I’m ready to start?
If you're asking that question, you're probably closer than you think. Readiness isn't a feeling — it's a decision. The people who do best in this work aren't the ones who had everything figured out before they started. They're the ones who were honest about where they were and willing to build from there.
